aight here is an update to my shocker body. it has been done entirely with hacksaws and handfiles. It still has alot of work to go, looking at maybe UL'ing it. anyway, you guys don't care what i have to say so here are some pics of my work so far.
now to clarify my plan so everyone will shut up with the "its not gonna work".
First off, everything in the body seals. I have meticulously (sp?) checked to make sure the firing can and bolt sleeve still seal.
next, I don't plan to run a manifolded noid on this gun. yes it will reduce its performance but i don't care. I can't push any harder than roughly ten balls a second so i don't need a 60 bps gun. I am drilling, tapping and plugging holes to manipulate the gun to my will.
here is a pic of my plans.
the red holes are holes that will be plugged
the green holes are holes that will be drilled and then tapped (no hole is currently present)
The yellow holes are holes that will be tapped.
All holes will have barbs and/or QEV's on them and it will be run off of a barbed noid
now for another update
here is a pic of the work that i had already done with a frame on the gun.
Over head shot (OMG more work!!!!)
here is a better pic of what I just took out. I wish there was more metal to take out of the bottom without sacrificing air sealablility.
A few of you may have noticed the cut out in the area where the barrel screws into in some earlier pics. There is alot of metal to cut out there and then do the same thing on the rear of the body.
I would kill to have the frame and feedneck off of a russian legion NXT. the piping on that would go with the work i have done so far to a T
new work, it's taking a while since i haven't been off in 10 days and i'm trying to do this with a set of needle files but here is some progress
